Who this is for
This service is designed for Australian construction companies that already do good work and want a more predictable way to find the right next project. That might be a residential builder, a renovation firm, or another construction business with a clear service area and a defined type of job.
It suits you best if you know which projects you want more of, you have someone who can follow up enquiries promptly, and you're willing to record what happens after the first call. Without those three things, no marketing system can tell you what's working.
What the system includes
Project storytelling
Your finished work is your strongest marketing asset. With the property owner's permission, we film and photograph projects to show the brief, the process and the result. Specific, honest footage of real work tends to be more persuasive than generic claims. See our guide on what to include in a construction project video.
Advertising
We plan and manage paid campaigns that put that content in front of people in your service area who are likely to need the type of work you do. Campaigns are adjusted based on what happens to enquiries later — not only on clicks or form fills.
Enquiry landing pages
Each campaign points to a page that explains what you build, where you work, what the process looks like and what someone should expect after they enquire. Being clear about what you don't take on is just as useful: it saves both sides time.
Enquiry qualification
Enquiries are checked against the criteria you set: location within your service area, project type, indicative budget range and readiness to proceed. The goal is for your team to spend time on conversations that have a realistic chance of becoming work.
Follow-up and handover
Our in-house team can make first contact and follow up enquiries so they don't go cold. Qualified enquiries are then handed to your own team, who take over site visits, technical discussion and quoting. We don't quote, price or sell building work on your behalf.
Reporting you can trace
We report each stage as its own number: enquiries, qualified enquiries, appointments booked, appointments attended, quotes issued and projects won. Those later stages depend on your team recording outcomes, so we agree a simple way to do that from the start. Our article on how to measure construction lead quality explains why this matters.
How we work
- Diagnose. We look at your current enquiries, the projects you want, your service area, how leads are handled today and what results data already exists.
- Build. We produce the content, landing pages, enquiry questions, follow-up process and reporting stages before spending on ads.
- Launch. Campaigns go live with tracking in place, and early enquiries are reviewed closely to check that the qualification criteria are working.
- Improve. We review results regularly and adjust audiences, creative, pages and follow-up based on what moves enquiries further through the stages.
A clear plan before you commit
Before engaging anyone, including us, ask for a written scope that states exactly what is included: the content to be produced, who manages the campaigns, how enquiries are handled and followed up, what reporting you receive and how often, the agency fee, and the advertising spend listed separately. Every one of those should be itemised so you can see what you are paying for and where the money goes.
Outcomes also depend on things no agency controls — your local market, how well each enquiry fits your business, and how consistently your own team follows up and records results. We commit to a clear system, honest reporting and steady improvement. We don't promise a lead count, a revenue figure or a signed contract.
Frequently asked questions
What does 2B Scaling do?
We build and run client acquisition systems for construction companies: project videos and content, paid advertising, enquiry landing pages, enquiry qualification, follow-up and reporting. The aim is to connect those pieces so each enquiry can be tracked from first contact to outcome.
Who is this service for?
It is designed for Australian construction companies that want a steadier flow of suitable enquiries — for example residential builders, renovation firms and trade businesses with a defined service area and a clear project type. It suits a business that knows which jobs it wants more of and can follow up enquiries promptly. We are selective about fit, so the first call is about whether the work suits both sides.
How do the agency fee and ad spend work?
They are separate. Ad spend is paid to the advertising platforms and goes directly towards your ads; the agency fee covers strategy, production, setup and management. We don't publish fixed prices because scope varies — ask us for an itemised proposal that lists each separately.
Is a quote enquiry the same as a won job?
No. An enquiry is someone asking about work. Only some will be in your area, suit your project type, have a realistic budget and be ready to proceed. Fewer again will book an appointment, receive a quote and sign. We report each of those stages separately so the numbers aren't blurred together.
What affects lead quality?
The main factors are who the advertising targets, how clearly the page explains what you do and don't take on, what the enquiry form asks, how quickly enquiries are followed up, and how consistently outcomes are recorded. Seasonality and local market conditions also play a part.
Will this replace our referrals?
It doesn't need to. Many construction companies rely on referrals and repeat clients. A paid acquisition system can run alongside them; we keep referral enquiries labelled separately where possible so you can see what each channel actually contributes.
How should performance be measured?
Agree the stages up front — enquiry, qualified enquiry, appointment booked, appointment attended, quote issued, project won — and record them consistently. Then compare cost per stage over a sensible period rather than reacting to a single week. Our guide on measuring construction lead quality goes into detail.
What should we bring to the start?
Photos or footage of completed work you're permitted to use, your service area, the project types and budget ranges you want, the ones you'd rather avoid, how your team currently handles enquiries, and who on your side will receive and follow up qualified leads.
Who gives technical advice and quotes?
Your own qualified team. We handle marketing, enquiry handling and handover. Site assessments, technical and compliance advice, pricing, quotes and contracts stay with your business and its licensed people.
